El Paso Is Weird

Boing Boing mentioned my hometown today: Dave’s Pawn Shop in El Paso, Texas has some weird stuff in it.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the place; it’s no Chico’s Tacos, that’s for sure.

    You know, I’ve been in that shop while on vacation. I’ve seen many specialty shops that cater to Nazi collectors, but I got a seriously bad vibe about Dave’s.

    It might have been the brass swastika plaque on the front door, but I dunno.
