Listen to us sounding like a couple of old farts talking about the good ole days.

Back in my day, we used to compress stuff into 8-bit mono because we had to carry the files in the snow, with no shoes, uphill, both ways!

Well, I'm glad the song still exists in some form or another. Although it's a fun and snappy tune, when I've played it for others (I have it on audio cassette, another technology WAY past its prime), it does require a bit of explaining.

Nope, not anymore... I do still have all the sound files and stuff on my keyboard. Once I'm settled in (I just moved) and have everything hooked back up I'll be able to get it off my keyboard and saved onto my computer somewhere. Once I do, I'll probably put it up on my blog.

God it takes me back... I wrote that song entirely on my Ensoniq ASR-10 with a sample of my friend John playing what he called a disco riff and the rest being built-in sounds and you guys' samples.

These days I would have made it using proggies on my computer instead... it's way easier to work with samples and loops when you have a nice, big computer screen to look at the waveforms in. ( =

Raven,

I am SO behind the times when it comes to technology. Just getting into digital audio again after that time 7 years ago when we dealt with .WAV and MIDI files...

Do you have a MP3 (or whatever it is that iTunes uses) of your brilliant composition, The Wakka Cheeka Song?

If so, could you send me a link or just e-mail it to me? Don't use the JokoLondoATaoldotcom e-mail; I still have it but almost never check it. HE3t is my yahoo Id.

Thanks,
