These boots were made for walking…

Thursday, June 16th, 2005

So I finally got off my ass and posted to Revolution Boots, my new site for rants and raves and maybe, just maybe, a little communication, education and understanding. Check out the site, check out the forum... take a look around. See what you think.

If your comments are good and you seem a decent writer you might even become an author. I’m not interested in people agreeing with me, just interested in people who aren’t flame bait and who can string some sentences together. That’s it, that’s all. Let’s see what happens now.

Birthday Wishes

Wednesday, June 8th, 2005

From a card I rescued from the bottom of one of my moving boxes:

Dear Alex,
We didn’t have an address so couldn’t send you a card for your birthday.
Hope you are doing well. Old age is telling on us. Among other things I am going blind.
Take care. We love you,
Grandmother and Granddaddy

It’s official: Apple and Intel

Monday, June 6th, 2005

MacRumors’ live site just ran the story that Apple and Intel are pairing together (live from Jobs’ keynote no less!)... which we knew. What I want to know is when are the prices going down? Should I hold off on buying my Big New Mac?

BTW: I’m so upgrading to a dual, 2.3 GHz PowerMac soon. I can’t wait.

I likes the meats

Great post on Plastic detailing the ins and outs of grilling, marinades, charcoal vs. propane, etc. Got me thinking about my own backyard cookouts that I’m planning this summer.

Specifically, Randy and Gerri’s Gas Grills are for Sissies points to the About.com article listing the top ten grills. I’m thinking of going Weber, in particular the 22-1/2 Inch One-Touch Gold. 22 1/2 inches of diameter sounds like it’s got the room for the steaks, corn, and veggies I’d want to grill for the house.

Sweetness.

Oasis in flames

Wednesday, June 1st, 2005

I think all those friends in low places finally got fed up and decided to give up the ghost with a bang:

See ya later, Oasis… your food was crappy, your drinks were too expensive, but sunsets from your porch were gorgeous.
